An ex driver at our place got caught 4 times in 3 weeks by the very same camera, 
It has also had a couple of other drivers on our job. 
ita all a big learning curve for the lad, on that occasion nobody was hurt or killed… thank god,he will have to remember this after the court has impossed its penalty in which ever way it sees fit…throw yourself at the courts mercy … 
with a good lawyer in your corner,call them sir/maarrrmm ha ha and take whats on the cards,REMEMBER NEXT TIME… gears brakes & retarders on hills with speed limits… much easier than going through the courts… good luck to you and yours…
Well all those who have been positive thankyou very much. The rest well i wont lose any sleep , i know i have been a bit daft but i did not need a lecture thanks. I will keep this post going whenever i hear anything more . Thanks again Rich.
Well for those who are interested yesterday was court day . I did not attend as i did not see the benefits plus takin a day off work sorting out a lift etc . I went to see my solicitor who compiled a letter for me to be read in my absence . Well i got 4 points and an £80 fine . A bit stupid really all that hassle for an extra point and another £20 . Anyway quite happy as i think i have got away lightly . To all the people who supported me thanks and the people who slaughtered me saying i should have my licence taken off me and i was an idiot etc etc looks like the court did not judge it as bad as you lot . That’s a bit of a result, mate. If I remember correctly, the minumum the court can give is 4 points so looks like it was a sympathetic judge who probably knows you have learnt your lesson.
Just make sure that you have learnt your lesson and don’t go flying down any more hills any time soon 
No a bad result mate i got 3pts and a £150 fine for 54mph in a 40 on the A507 near Henlow.Bedford Magistrats proper lorry haters they were going to ban me but my old boss came with me stood up for me.Just take it easy i"m sure you worried enough about this to know what to do next time

No i was not running illegal i was fully loaded and going down a little hill which tipped me over the edge .
I’m glad you didn’t lose your licence, and I’m sure you’ll now realise how important it is, without it it’s a job in McDonalds etc! Your statement above did make me laugh thought, 20mph, some tipping over the edge!

I had an over night in Birtley, then went up the A1 to Edinburgh, and over took a tractor and trailer at the wrong time the camera got me at 62mph. I never went to court, and my tacho trace was a steady 40ish from Newcastle right up untill I overtook the said tractor. I pleaded guilty what else could I do the camera got me 
my boss payed the 60 quid I got the 3 points. hope the outcome for you is a good one fingers crossed for you. I only got that one speeding ticket in 30yrs of truck driving but that was because I did not get caught the other times and IMHO most drivers break the law at some time during the day.
