Why do some drivers, car and lorry, start overtaking you about 300 yards before average speed roadworks, doing 56 or more, only to pull in about 30ft in front of you and slam on the anchors to 45mph? I sit at 50 on the cc all day, trying to get fuel bonus, so why overtake a motor that you know is going faster than you want to, making me hit the brakes and pull out to overtake. It’s fast becoming my biggest pet hate
because they are ignorant T**TS
+1
Worse still tho you now find the same idiots doing 50/55mph on a clear motorway, then leave you hanging outside them before pulling away then slowing down again when you pull back in, maybe they are other truck drivers having a laugh, wouldn’t bloody surprise me wih today’s standard of truck driving.

Dieseldave’s gonna have you for that. You know the rules, stop [zb]ing about. If you want to [zb]ing swear then you’ve got to do it like this you silly [zb]er. My cat saw what you wrote and he worked out what the missing letters were. Thanks for that.
Yes, they ■■■■ me off big time too. When they do that I like to sit on their rear bumper with the headlights on full…TOSSERS
yeah i hate that espically when they sit in the middle lane and they have no one to overtake but just wont move over
Because, for most people, the most potentially dangerous thing they do in life, driving, is done with the least amount of thought.

whats wrong with calling them TWITS ■■ lol
My personal view is that car drivers see a lorry and immediately think “That lorry will hold me up. I must get past it at any costs”. Hence steaming up to the first camera at 80 then slamming the brakes on. Fine if you can overtake, but as you said, there is usually one sat in the middle lane as well that refuses to move over. Couldn’t say why other lorries do that to you though.
Also remember that most car speedos read over what they are actually doing so whilst they think they are doing 50, they are actually doing 45. Lorry tachos/speedos are calibrated so tend to be more accurate. When I drive to work in my car I have to do 45 in a 40 to make the 40mph road side warning sign flash up. In my lorry it flashes up at 40mph.

I really posted that response in a light hearted way to highlight to the poster of the “headlights in the mirror” idea, that aggressive behaviour such as he claims to do, usually results in equally aggressive acts from the other driver.
Occaisonally such acts result in serious accidents.
Loads of posts on this forum re car drivers, caravan towers/ micra drivers/ etc., being idiots/muppets/ brain dead/ coffin dodgers etc etc.
get real… truckers claim to be pros…you should be able to deal with these issues in a calm collected manner. it’s part of the job FFS.
if you can’t deal with it, you’re not fit to class yourself as a pro.
If you really must get up someones bumper flashing your lights etc, all that says is that you are a bully.
And, whilst I probably would not brake test you, make no mistake , if you annoyed me too much I would seriously think about complaining to your company/ traffic area.
