I’ve got the same so would be interested in any suggestions also. They’ve done their usual quote that they’ll knock £500 off if I say I’m going somewhere else but still ticked up each year much more than I’d like - I’m with Towergate presently.
I went with M E French in yr 1 - best quote around for a new start-up. Second yr they were comparable but not cheaper than most others. 3rd year they were £500 more expensive so moved to Cornish Insurance. To be fair I’ve never actually tried outside of the HGV specialists as I hate having to explain the difference between GTW and GVW and so on… long story, can’t be arsed.

We are only part time hauliers 
and use the NFU but I believe they will do pure haulage companies. Can give you a number if you want to pm me, as I think each different NFU office does different things. You do not need to be based near the office you deal with. We are in wales and use staffordshire for example.
