A local council has introduced a three-bin collection system for rural areas. The access areas are being assessed by a recycling advisor and a professional LGV driver and if it is considered unsuitable due to the quality of it’s surface, the number of potholes or it’s narrowness, residents will be asked to wheel their bins to the end of the road for collection. This is to avoid staff being exposed to ‘whole of body vibration’

good grief what a load of doo doo
Sorry I cant pay my council tax as i might get “whole body vibration” on the way to post it
Is it a private road? if not phone the local rag (they’re normally anti council) and refuse to pay your rates until either the road is fixed or your bins are collected. Simples
Same guys should check the rumble strips on a303, near shake my fillings loose.
I think they must be talking about private roads/drives, the councils are responsible for maintaining public roads so I don’t see how they could refuse to drive on them because of lack of maintenance
That would be because the H&S people have got everything and everybody so tightly wrapped in cotton wool that they’re running out of work and are desperate to keep themselves in jobs. Much like VOSA.
For my tuppence worth , it could be do with bin drivers putting a claim in for neck and back pain for driving in the pot holes and put a claim in for damages,if you are being jolted around all day, it is not good for the body, resulting in fatique.
