Who would you drive for hoyer or flogas?

Hi I’ve been offered a job at hoyer and flogas but i dont know which one to go for hoyer is a lot more money but flogas is mon - fri no bank holidays etc . Any advice? Thanks

Flogas if you are married and want to stay that way.

Depends on what hours and shifts are involved…and do check carefully because we’ve seen Hoyer shift patterns posted before here by a fuel tanker driver, i wouldn’t work those shifts for the pay slips shown at the same time.
However Hoyer are a broad church, whereas Flogas you only carry one product, eggs-basket-one-all-in.
Is Flogas direct or agency, i understood they tended to use mainly agency.

No one else can make your mind up for you, bank hols and weekend working is fine for some, not for others, and only you know what pay you want or need.

I have a mate that works for Hoyer out of kingsbury he is on £18+ an hour but that’s regardless of days nights weekends bank holidays etc, his Mrs is also unhappy with his shift pattern & he is looking to get away from Hoyer altogether but he’s tied in with them for another 18 months & if he leaves before then he has to pay back £2k.
I work for Flogas doing LPG & LNG & my basic pay rate is a few pounds lower than my mates but i earn more than him for roughly the same hours as we get night rate, weekend rate & x1.5 after 9 hours, i left BOC to work for Flogas & i dont regret it, my wife & kids are also happy so don’t go just for the headline rate at HOYER there’s a reason why they are always advertising.

Is Flogas C+E as i only ever see their rigid tanks which I guess are more for domestic deliveries? Interesting sounding job albeit driving a rather large bomb.

Flogas have depots throughout the country they deliver cylinders & bulk gas to domestic & commercial companies using mainly rigid barrels & flatbeds for the cylinders these can be a 3.5t van up to 26t rigid.
Now the job to be in is at a depot that has C+E tankers that collect from the refinerys then go & deliver internally to the depots, this is where the money is as you can be waiting hours at the refinerys & it’s easy to go over 9 hours onto x1:5, in my personal experience if your a good driver & have a good attitude you get looked after, it can ne a bit chaotic at times but It’s all very laid back.
