Yesterday morning one of my work mates woke me from my slumber in the compound of Pacific Packaging, Wilmington MA so he could take my notes in to goods in for me as I adjusted my eyes to ‘AWAKE’ mode. I looked across the compound to the open doors there was a blue Mack on door 9 and I climbed out to walk over to goods in at that door the driver watched my every move, then climbed out and walked over to greet me. He grinned and said in a perfect london area accent “Oy! Mate, what yer doin’ wiv that Great flag on yer truck”
We shook hands and chatted, he was orriginally from Tunbridge Wells and had spent some time in Austrailia driving Road Trains before moving here. Mid conversation we were interupted by my work mate telling me to get on door 18, I excused my self for a few minutes to reverse on the door. As I backed on the other British guy drove out waving to me, I called him on the CB but there was no answer. So who was he anyone else over here know such a guy He drove for H & E out of PA and had a newish blue Mack.
On every such occassion in the past I have exchanged details but this guy vanished as quickly as he appeared.
