Speaking to a driver outside B&Q Garth Dee in Aberdeen recently and he stated that he had been driving for the same firm for 36 years.

Turners (Soham) but based at the airport estate in Norwich.

His next move was to retire the day before his 65th.

Wasn’t there a driver in the paper a few months ag, that worked for Grow Continental and had been with the firm for over 40 years?.

I worked for BJ Myers in the early 1990’s. Mostly Renault Magnums.
Lovely fleet but boy they worked you hard!
Fondly remember George and Tony. Brian was a little bit aloof?

Jan 2008 - Agency ie ; Waitrose-tesco’s-asda-BP lutt all trolley dolley work, which i hate with a vengance :imp: but they fill a hole

when you was on widdowsons, did you ever run out of rk timber stoney stanton?? i ran out of there when kts had the contract :smiley:

Yes mate, i did run out of there for a bit til we lost the transport to you lot :smiley: When i was 1st on widdo’s, Rab Karcher was at the old Gimson site (swan mills) in leicester.

think I know who you are on about at widdows gunner I spent a short time on kts we was on nippress out of Felixstowe thou if I go got the right kts
