Was good easy work when I worked there. 1 drop to RDC and 1 collection.
They also have the sainsburys contract which Is run from the sainsburys RDC in Daventry.
Asda owned depots do their own, Doncaster which is a Wincanton site is contracted out even though we still do a few in house from our place up to there and Wakefield.
Ridiculous as it may sound, Doncaster have just given the contract to ■■? Nope not Wincanton who run the warehouse side, but the Green Death.

Now the ejit that started this thread, is a life-long Green Death Devote, so why would he be asking the question?? Are Asda going to farm out the Transport to save money, All them deckers that Asda have 
The sites like donny have always contracted out, used to be a smaller company doing it, cant for the life of me remember their name but did a decent job.
Havent heard anything about farming out the transport at our depots, I’ll be the first one out of the door if that happens. I dont look good in a yellow or green uniform

Never seem to see it advertized, but there are plenty of “lures” out there, implying the work is Trunking when in fact is is actually more like Knowhow London Multidrop (The clue is “Recruit a friend for ££££”)

Here we go again , truck nets driving god off on one yet again , change the ■■■■■■■ tune ,
Well well, seems this little venture may end up costing Stobbies in the end. I hear that a driver rocked up and tipped a load of drinks, pulled off the bay and started dropping his trailer in the waiting area. When asked what he thought he was doing the reply was, dropping this and picking up a trunk trailer. Was told to foxtrot oscar, you dont leave stand trailers here. Obviously thought they could reduce mileage on reloads. Drop an empty single pick up a decker going back north. Full decker comes down and takes empty single to load. Making them wait and tip too, the old lot (decent bunch of lads) they used to let drop and swap trunk trailers.
