Uncle Albie:
When I do drive I drive for me because I can’t get a decent driver! I seem to be driving more and more these days.
Saves the trucks getting wrecked though and saves some fuel.Only bonus I get.
Bet your fun to work for
Depends on your definition of fun ERF man.
I have several loyal hard working guys who are very well paid ( well above average ) because they do a great job and cause me no problems.
They are happy and I am happy.
Trouble these days is finding a competent driver who is capable of doing what is asked of him and not causing havoc along the way.
Maybe you can recommend someone?
Dozy is your man
Actually agree with what you say and I do see where you coming from but was meant to be a joke. And as you asked I also agree with happysack, Dozy is your man
i work for myself but my boss tells me where to go

That Ewals tilt looks mint compared to some of ours. Re the Hungarocamion tilts theyre all original with just the text blanked out.
Sounds like another company I know, lease trailers for several years, hand them back to the lease Co, they paint them up and short term hire them back, some times you can see the outline of the old livery under the new paint!
This is exactly the deal with the old Hungarocamion tilts which obviously pre date Waberers who bought the whole outfit, some of the VanHool/ Gronewegan tilts are from the late 80’s so you can imagine the state of some of them cosmetically although in build quality they are tough as old boots. A couple of months back i went to pick up a fully freighted trailer (Lag) with 1t bulk bag agg bound for Calais from Malaga and the bend forward of the legs had me poking around the chassis…you guessed it… a big split 150cm long which was old and corroded with weld run down both sides…
I wanted to be a Carpenter, but followed the path of my dad who followed his dad who was told by his dad etc. I joined the service at 17 did 8 years then took over from my dad when he became ill, never looked back to be honest although these days I am finding it harder to turn the key.
I share the driving in either a Luton Sprinter or a puddle jumper for Ceva Logistics in Abingdon
I drive for the voice of the mysterons
Captain Scarlet. Quality viewing…
