Hi all,
I’ve tried to white the lettering on my tyres but failed misterably using a daft little pen.
I’ve seen some motors that have them done really well, any tips?
Best pic I can find!

Not sure if serious or trolling…
What is wrong with you people, are you just here to shoot people down in flames ■■
The guy is probably an OD with a unit he takes pride in and wants to add a finishing touch, he asked for advice on how to achieve something not your opinion on his taste.

Light hearted ribbing is allowed though isn’t it?
I can’t help the OP achieve his wish to white letter his tyres properly but I’m sure someone will be along shortly with the required information.

Yeah but not posting half of Columbia’s biggest export
Ooops my bad, sincere apologies for the columbian stuff etc
I always took great pride in my motor myself even if it was a company one so nothing wrong with going for a bit of white lettering on the tyres.
Found some stuff from a US supplier and might be worth googling for UK equivalents or seeing if they ship to the UK.

Yet you left mine?! Are you feeling okay?
You’ll be starting off all the haters again about how I’m “untouchable” and in cahoots with admin, gets away with murder etc.
Probably best you remove it unless you want another lengthy thread in the feedback forum.
Think a fella on Facebook use a paint brush
I don’t bother with mine pointless onces you hit a few curbs bye bye hard work
Go onto e.bay, enter 390618132071 into the search box.
99p each, free post & packing, the cheapest I’ve found.
At that price, I’d order a couple of these marker pens, not knowing how many tyres they would do before they ran out.
Hope this helps,
Interesting, I’ve been thinking about doing mine but I think ill look a bit of a ■■■■ white lettering my avons I may try persuading the powers that be that the next set should be michys or Bridgestone.
Don’t bother with the tyres pens, there useless, bought one last week, for my motorbike tyres, they are shocking!
Instead what I used was the tiny little paint pots you get with air fix models, and used a small paint brush, came out really well actually.

Take no notice of any ribbing posts, I think its fantastic that you have so much pride in your wagon.
I don’t mean to hijack its kind off related, what do people use for tyre shine I use turtle wax tyre sleek but it gets bloody expensive any cheaper suggestions?.
i used this on mine at Peterborough Truckfest
ebay.co.uk/itm/110567443388? … 1423.l2649
this was the results of the first coat, the week before the show, did them again the show weekend to top up the colour, whatever you use, it will need more than one coat to make it look better
as for the tyre shine, i use Autosmart Tyre Dandy (not used in the above photo)

Done a nice job there, thanks for the advice I think there’s an autosmart dealer near me ill go and see weekend does it last long?.
the lettering on these tyres were done with the tyre pens, only the outline was done, the shine was the Tyre Dandy from Autosmart
obviously, the white lettering and the shine lasting will all depend on how careful you are and how often you clip curbs

It is
Jumping all over someone for asking a question is not
the comments that were removed were in no way funny or constructive.
It has been made clear that members are unhappy at how folks are jumped on for fairly innocent questions, we have hit hard the trolls - and they have squealed a lot - but they have died down, next is the stupid one liners- who think they are funny putting a daft comment on a serious thread, like the cocaine references in this one.
If you don’t have anything relevant to say, then don’t say anything- if you do and its crap it will be removed, if you want to have a giggle go to Bullys Bar, that’s what its there for - if you want to be an adult and post in a respectful manner, then do so.
As ever ( to revive an old theme) don’t like our rules the 8" high 2’6" wide opening over there is the door, use it and goodbye, you wont be missed

I thought that got nicked years ago and was never seen again? Was there an update to that story that I’ve missed?
