In know this has probably been asked a million times but do I get a tom tom 5150 or a snooper? I’ve always had tom tom and like the lay out of them, never used a snooper and also which snooper is the one to go for?
I have both, the tomtom 5150 (about 4 weeks) and the snooper truckmate pro s2500 (about 5 months) and they both have their good and bad sides, the tomtom just pips the snooper with a better screen but at a premium price, thankfully I got mine cheap .
Neither has caused me any major issues.
So I would be selling the snooper but I did expect more from the tomtom.
I’m swaying towards the tom tom but heard really good reviews on the snooper s8000 but it’s a lot more expensive! It’s it really worth the extra money??

Tomtom 5150, I’m new driver and it’s been such a gem only goin iffy once where I had to make a tight sharp left when the actual turn was 100m further on, which was more truck friendly, but it got me to the gates of where I needed to be
Buy a good paper map too, if the sat nav goes ■■■■ up you will be buggered else.
Think I’ll be getting the tom tom. The only plus I can see towards the snooper is the tv and dab radio but don’t really fancy watching a 7" TV screen! Also I’ve always got a map handy to plan routes before I set off!!

I have one of these, while it’s ok the build quality is ■■■■ poor and the screen freezes often, yes the mapping and road view are quite good but there’s no way on this earth it will last as long as the snooper s7000 that I still use from when they first came out
but then again what do you expect for £59!
