Which political party would best serve UK road haulage?

Hi

Was having a thunk earlier, and I wondered which political party would reform the state of road haulage for the better if it were in power, in your opinion?

Not necessarily who you’d vote for, but who you think would cause your job to improve. Now, I say UKIP and I should declare an interest at this point because I’m a party member!

But, I genuinely believe UKIP would be the best party to improve UK haulage. EU withdrawal would push up wages because it would create thousands of jobs and work for UK operators because cabotage rules would be a lot tighter. We could even abandon EU driving regulations and return to UK domestic rules (not that I’d personally want to drive for 5h 30m!!)

Interested to hear your thoughts, with an outline of your thinking and optionally, if you intend to vote for the party you’ve chosen.

Any party that gets us out of the EU so we can make some decent domestic regs and stop the influx of people coming into the UK without penalties

We are not in the EURO so it should not be too difficult

Simple logic tells us that there are too many people in the UK and not enough jobs for those people so either we need more jobs (unlikely) or less people

Monster Raving Loony Party,
Some/most drivers would be eligible for free lifelong membership
