Hi folks, is there a budget dash cam that you can testify is suitable? There seems to be a few eBay ones priced £30-60 but I didn’t have much luck? Alternatively if I go for high street, can anyone recommend one?

I have been down the budget cam route .You are better just investing in a decent cam to start with ,will be cheaper in the long run
I recently bought a nextbase 312 gw. Bit pricey at 99 quid…but I had a 75 quid voucher and was a bit miffed at paying more…but that was all Currys had in stock.
Got it home and connected it to the pc to find that the micro SIM card thingy is extra…bought a 16 mb from Argos for about 8 quid …
Since then have been very very happy with it…
Had a branch strike on an A road…and my manager has claimed off the council for the damage as a result of the footage that I saved…
The footage is 2 minutes long in segments…and you get about 5 or 6 hours rolling segments if you see what I mean…
I bought an additional memory card so that if I had an accident then I would change the card rather than try and save the relevant segment.
In my view this piece of kit is worth every penny.
Obviously if a prang is your fault then you hide it but assuming that you have an incident and it’s not your fault then you will be mighty glad you have it…think mother driving kids to school whilst on the phone thinking that she has the right of way…
Good point you make about having an extra card to put in and save all the recorded segments. I had a car back into me, pressed the save button but when the rest was overwritten I found the saved bit began a few seconds after he hit me so nowt to show, the rest got overwritten an the 580 mile journey home. On the nextbase (2) the length of the clip can be change in settings and on my new one a clip can be sent by wifi to anyone you want it to go to.
