The solway firth
Solway yes but there’s another “Firth” that lies off it.

Powfoot’s too far east. A clue: don’t go west either!
Glencaple
Not Glencaple but between your 1st two offers. A seasoned spotter would get this no probs but think of an ex-bustling port, now full of silt, where a certain Thomas Paisley… (not his full name) started out with a single vehicle many moons ago.
Ah why didn’t you say so. Palnackie.
That’s the one, where TP Niven started. Off Rough Firth/Urr Water.

Not east of Kingholm Quay/west of Kirkoobrie is what I was trying to imply.
The fishing boat must be lost, Portsmouth registration

That’s correct, Portsmouth. Waiting to be cut up, ex scallop boat.
How old’s that photo Raymundo? The photo in the OP was earlier this month. Thought they would have at least re-painted the bow before they worked the Solway coz apparently it left Portsmouth ca.2000.
Edit: on second thoughts, unless the Dalbeattie owners worked out of Portsmouth?
The picture was posted on The TRAWLERphotos website in Feb '13 by someone called Willoughby ( I forgot to credit the photo to him when I posted the pic.) The reference made to Dalbeatie is the location of the vessels last owners office. Portsmouth (P) is where the boat was registered and the 845 is the official boat & fishing license ID.
