No…and no.
What River?
It’s fair to say, after 3 months, we need a clue.
It’s next to 2 banks .
Taxi
as in one either side ■■
Annan??
Somewhere in the Kirkbride or silloth area?
There’s no water in that river!
Sorry, forgot all about this! Bear with me, I’m still hungover.
Two have narrowed it down to the right county.
It’s actually called “?-Beck” (river/stream/beck, water’s water to me), same one taken from the same place, to the left & right, and there’s a road along each bank. Not normally much water in it so you could say it’s almost a “dry beck”. It leads off from another “dry beck”.
Looks similar on Google Earth, just a bit greener in summer.
If that hasn’t given it away, this was the B-road (with a 17t limit either end) en-route the previous time I was here.
Is it Caldbeck
'fraid not.
“?-Beck” is the name of the water-course. “?” is the second word of the village name.
As for the B-road, think of silver, metallic-looking caravans as you leave the motorway for a break.
Holbeck near Leeds ?
Ah…drybeck

Ah…drybeck
Close…couple of mile off.

Jump into your imaginary boat, paddle upstream past Scale Beck & turn right before Rutter Falls, then get out of your boat and carry it down to the village of *insert 2 words.
Quicker (and a lot easier) by road though.
Raisbeck

Raisbeck
You’ve paddled too far. Go back to Drybeck, ditch the boat & walk about 2 mile in a SE direction. (And the village isn’t “anything-Beck” - the name of the Beck is the second word of the place name.)
Great Asby
happysack:
Great Asby
That’s the chap!
Asby Beck in Great Asby. The B-road being the Tebay to Appleby short-cut, turning off at Drybeck, and the silver caravans being Airstream(?) in front of you as you exit the roundabout towards J38 Truckstop.
