That’s the Edworth water tower on the hill ahead so the road must be the old A1 just South of Biggleswade.
(In another life I used to rig the aerials on top of that!)
Yep thats close enough. This became the northbound carriageway and remains unscathed as you see it. The comparison isn’t good because you can’t see the water tower cos of trees and stuff.
In fact that was a bugbear when I did the comparisons from my book. There is clearly a lot more vegetation around because some really good pictures didn’t get used, because I couldn’t take a good enough equivalent.
