Damm solved before I even saw it 
As I have an interest in square riggers I had to look it up and in spite of appearances the " Friendship" is only eighteen years old and was built in Albany NY. Built using a laminated epoxy construction, that is the way to do it, not traditional but a far better method. Finding grown timbers the right shape wouldn’t easy these days, not tree friendly either. The photos of the construction are impressive, nice job.
I saw the Friendship when she was in the Charlestown Navy Yard in Boston, I think that was in 2003 when we had a holiday in New England. She was moored next to the USS Constitution, impressive sight to see both together.
