Where would you find a list of back hauls I.e Stockton , I know read bordell isn’t far but then presents a problem as no load / back haul out of avonmouth . Ta
Boss’s problem, not yours. Back in the day we used to be allowed to find our own loads (and get a slice of it) but not anymore.
Sometimes the rate offered and the time spent really isn’t worth the hassle. Where my mate works, the rates on scotch reloads has hit the skids so much, they run to Manchester for a reload. A Glasgow to Burton only pays a tenner more than Manchester to Lutterworth

Ffs how many more times , I refused to come in at weekends too wash company trucks as my truck was washed in the week , why the zb should I come in at the weekend and wash the trucks of drivers who couldn’t be bothered to wash there trucks mon- fri 
I.e if you cut your grass in the week would you then go round cutting all your neighbours at the weekend 
Nb and I don’t work for that company anymore , that was night trunking , I’m now on general

But my truck was washed in the week , as he was a mate ( boss ) ex mate , he thought id come in and wash the trucks of the drivers who couldn’t be bothered to wash there own , zb that , mate or not , my truck was always clean , and as for a rota , then the only ones on that should be the drivers who were too bone idle to spend time as I did washing it mon- fri

Going from Stockton to Reed Boardall did you have a spare 3 hrs you had nothing to do with but sit in a layby with your thumb up your backside tossing time off? Same with Hams Hall to Boston and Avonmouth to Crayford. If not then thats the reasons why you don’t backload, you don’t have the time to spend an hour getting loaded and an hour getting tipped and the off route driving time to get to them.
