This week has seen record lows temp wise in this part of the USA, touching minus 50f in some parts. My truck has been running for two weeks non stop with the exception of in the workshop for 10 mins a day to check the levels. The grease has frozen on the trailer leg machanism and the fithwheel locks have frozen, when you take your glove off to try and fix things you can get frost bite in 3 minutes.
During the early hours of Thursday my driving compartment heater fan went west, this was not noticed untill I stopped in Providence RI. My only answer was to put the sleeper compartment heater on fully and open the partition to let the heat flow through, my feet still froze and I couldn’t open the window or the temp dropped to well bellow freezing. A new motor is being installed today.
