Driving down the motorway , up flashies 50 now its a managed motorway. Then 40 then back to 50.
At what point is that restricted limit lifted. ?

I tend to think that when I go past a speed limit sign that’s not lit and I can’t see any lit speed limit signs in the distance the speed limit has ended, as far as I can tell most other people seem to have the same idea.

But what if the following gantry is out of commission ?
Is it not that you need to pass an end of Road works or a N S limit sign ■■
It could be argued in your answer that you pass a 30mph going into town when does that 30 limit end ? when you no longer see a repeater ■■ and are there 30 mph repeaters ■■ its just a thought after last night seeing a reduced speed limit with no actual sign saying END etc ( Except when you pass the sign saying end of managed motorway) which could me several miles away.
I came past the new ones on the M4 near Bristol tea time today a couple were flashing 50 then one was flashing 40 then the next one was flashing 50, I’m sure it’s all to try and catch drivers out why was the odd 40 thrown in.
They flash up with NS sign when the restriction is over?
If you get flashed by a gantry with no limit on it, I think they’d struggle to make it stick. Plough on eh?
Sometimes I wonder, I really do …

With the greatest of respect NOVE, he’s not asking what to do. He’s asking when the limit returns ?
Back in my day we had this old fashioned concept, which I do believe was called common sense.

Correct Mike …
I put this question out to find out a definitive answer.
as at times you’ll exit RW’s etc with NO end of restriction /RW which in effect means that the restriction is still in force.
Technically yes, but does it really matter?
