When does B+E expire if it comes from passing C+E

hello i am new here,

just wanted to ask for anyone who passed their car driving test after 1997 (so doesn’t have B+E), has not done a B+E test, but has got C1+E or C+E, what is the expiry date on your B+E?

Asking as I definitely will need the B+E forever for the caravan, but I thought I might get my class 1 which will add it anyway without the extra test…

BUT… if I let the class 1 lapse in future because I don’t want to pay for the medical - can I just keep the B+E or will that expire as well because it comes with the class 1?

I tried googling but couldn’t find this anywhere

Once you have B+E on your licence then it stays there for as long as your B remains valid

Unless you do something very naughty and have to retake your test, or (quite common this one) if they restrict your car licence for medical reasons.
