are any of you in the same boat i am on wife number three and she hates me tramping but there is nothing else out there but to be honest other places i have worked want me to run my time out every day so if i was to be home it would hardly be worth it i love what i do but i cant afford another divorce

Her ex was also lorry driver (no i didnt know him before) was always away ! but making good money lol

So don’t do tramping. It’s cost you two marriages already - surely that’s telling you something?
I don’t do nights out per say, (The odd one maybe.) and we manage.In fact THE WIFE, (Les Dawson moment.) and I have been married for 23 years this year.

I have not done nights out for the last 2 or 3 years. I’ve been going out with my girl now for over 2 years. I don’t think she would like it one bit, I do mobile disco’s at the weekend and she moans that she never sees me. Money been tighter than usual lately but not too much of a problem, just had a lot to pay out and yesterday I mentioned that I’ve only got the one disco on Sunday afternoon. She moaned saying just when we need the money, ya can’t win can you !!!
Feel sorry for you mate, dammned if you do and skint if you don’t, no win situation. Hope she sees the light.

When she’s moaning at you have you ever pointed out to her that you’re actually breaking the law as you don’t have the legal required weekly rest?

Throw her off the Dartford bridge and carry on tramping. You should have learned your lesson by the second one. No sympathy for you. Find a woman who can drive a wagon and truck off together.
so you must have been tramping when you met her…if she knew thats what you did why change?? of you could say i will work less and you more to make the money up
i started in sept on artics, as a day driver with the odd nite out if needed, the 1st week i did days, 2nd week 1 nite out 3rd week 3 nites out the wife wasnt happy at all, to say things were close to ending wasnt far wrong, i spoke to a few drivers, “bear” and they gave me advice on what to do etc, advice. i just did maybe 2/3 nites upto the end of the year, this year im doing more, in feb i was out 15nites the most ive ever been out in a month, but on the weekends we just go away somewhere.
so the deal is now i work away the week, we go away the weekends. everybodys happy
