What would the outcome be?

If a driver was to be convicted of either:

dangerous driving or careless driving? would they just loose their hgv licence or car as well? fines?

tea and biscuits with the tc?

(single truck accident no one else involved, no not me)

CC

when a licence gets taken it’s all of it, due care and attention is the normal and carries a fine but dangerous driving results in a ban I think depends how dangerous, and a lot can be word against word if someones reported someone for dangerous driving

depends on what you are convicted of, if you already have points on your licence, if convicted of dangerous then and dont loose the car licence then i would think the t/c might wanna word because everything you do (and it doesnt need too driving) can land you a conduct hearing with the t/c and can affect your vocational licence

Dangerous is an automatic 12 month minimum ban of all entitlements to drive anything plus a fine and if serious enough prison sentence or suspended. Careless is points, fine and maybe a short ban.

i got done for dangerous driving in dec, mandatory 12 month ban £500 fine an resit car test, dont know what will happen with hgv,and it was just due to the speed i was doing, over 100 mph is classed as dangerous driving.

The courts cannot remove your HGV entitlement, however to drive HGV’s you must have a valid car licence. also the court cannot give points to a HGV licence they can only add points to the car entitlement, this is a throw over from the days when you held a sperate licence for your HGV

that said gain enough points on your car entitlement, or lose it and it is almost guarenteed that you will be invited for a chat with the TC , and I doubt if tea and biscuits will be provided
