What was the one at Scremerston, just south of Berwick? That was pretty good for a plateful, plenty of square sausage from just over t’border.

Now thats a breakfast,i only get that at home now as they cant make a good breakfast here(pancakes and fat with a bit of bacon on)

hello all.
one of the cleanest and tastiest breakfasts i think was brians just off the m50 about half a mile up the a38 towards worcester, then he rented it out to a couple of different people over the last few years i try not to use it now because the food is all pre cooked and very expensive around £6 for a full breakfast, there is a cafe on the industrial estate in hirwaun called mollys kitchen and you can get a good feed there including tea/coffee/ toast/bread &butter for £3.40,i know these people have to make a bob or two but there is profit & ripping off.
gah 1950.

Many years ago (when god was still a lad) we used to walk out of the old strensham sarvices (now the works unit) to that cafe it was quite a walk but well worth it as the grub was first class.

bestbooties:
Dennis’s cafe by the stadium car park in Pireaus.

Had many a hangover cure in Dennis’s bestbooties, after an evening of ouzo/retsina  Oooooh the headaches in the sunshine. It was owned by Panny when I used it though as I’m only young  Preferred it to the Harbour Inn & Panny as miserable as he was, was a good craic to go out with around the back streets of Piraeus to all the dodgy drinking/■■■■■ houses.

Was the Harbour Inn the one up the steps over looking the lorry park where you got the ferries over to the Greek Islands or was that The Lantern Inn  . Eggs, bacon, sausage, tomatoes and tea or coffee or a cold Carlsberg  .

Regards Steve.

Yes it was in Piraeus, as you parked on the car park looking towards the shops in front of you with the ferries on your right, the cafe that I am thinking of was up some steps over on the left, it might of changed it’s name from The Lantern to The Harbour.
I went back there last year and it has all changed now, the shops are gone but I took this photo from where the carpark used to be.

Regards Steve.
