Ah, slurryfast ■■■■. Ancient, American, double drive crap.
I reckon some of them (ones out of the signal box) are brake levers, so that you can slow or stop the spinning wheel/axle and direct the drive to the other side of an axle or to another axle, before diff/cross locks, limited slips and traction control. Got to be American - maybe one of those allwheel drive six wheelers from WW2?
Carryfast beat me to it
gotta be from Norfolk way needs webbed hands to drive that
Its the earlier version of this
New Hino?
Used to play many a good tune on our old one ,
jeesh , them Foden Mickey mouse cabs were bad enough , let alone having to drag one back with the ol` T .
Could soon lose track of which cog you’re in methinks.

Hiya …IAN… i can,t belive you haven,t said what it is, you drove on the Keel
recovery long enough…(i hope this book is,nt full of blank pages)ha ha.
I took that photo. Its a Diamond T.three gearboxes with 3 gears in each box.
the best bit is you only get 28mph flat out with all that trouble.
I,ve had a few tries with the gearbox but its mad. the chap who owned the truck
could change every gear. you have to put your arm through the steering wheel and
change with both hands.
When Pickfords run Diamonds the drivers mate changed one gear stick. in the photo
one leaver is the winch leaver. I,am not at home at the minute else i,d post a photo
of the lorry. its a 1942 Diamond T with a detroit two stroke 6 cylinder engine
its Ex Itilian army and now lives in Holland
Ian !!!looking forward to the book how long before i get a copy.
