Saw this old horsebox yesterday… wondering what it is?? I suspect a 7.5t Marsden Vanplan old-style furniture van, probably on a Bedford Chassis??
You could be right but to me there seems to be a lot of Leyland going on there

Isn’t there a way of tracing a vehicle’s history (last taxed etc) on the DVLA site? Wouldn’t that give a manufacturer?
If it just said Marsden, would any info like an engine number be a clue to the maker? Just a thought.
It’s a Bedford according to DVLA.
See, I have my uses! Even if I don’t know how to use the things I talk about
Didn’t get it from DVLA though - I used a "value my car " type website (which uses DVLA data). To get the info straight from DVLA you have to have a legitimate interest in the vehicle.

No you don’t. Anyone can look no legitimate interest needed.

True - but according to the DVLA website “In order to make an enquiry you will need the vehicle registration mark (number plate), and the vehicle make.” Which sort of defeats the object when you don’t know the make…
To get the vehicle history (which is what was mentioned) you do need to have a legitimate interest, which you demonstrate by entering document number from V5 or MoT (both of which would give you the make anyway).
But of course, the vehicle history comes from DVSA, not DVLA. My mistake, sorry. (Too many FLAs for my liking).
Thanks.
