yep thats em vaughn sorry not verne!! still mad as a hatter though,i think him and barry used to run in opposite directions as one was going nth the other wld be heading back sth, i remember one morning vaughn decided to wake us all up on the m1 near northampton by weaving over all 3 lanes cos he saw some1 he knew going back the other way!!! funny at the time accompanied by blasting airhorns and lotsa lights on his roof bars,it was 4,30 in the morning so joe public wernt about then, aah happy days(or perhaps nights)!!

Signed up just to post. My dad drove for ponsonby 88-92 ish. H483 MOJ was the truck we took to truckfest.

Had my own uniform, one of my earliest memories. Fred Robinson and he’s still alive and kicking. We were both nearly in tears looking at some of these.

Edit: just read the thread. Lovely to see the old man mentioned. He’s still a mad brummie. Gave up his license a few years ago. He mention Taffy and a few others. We used to spend Sunday in the yard jet washing the truck. He loved that thing.

Will try and dig some more out of the photo album.
