What does Driver Hire charge for drivers?

I am possibly about to be offered a permanent driving job after 2.5 years with Driver Hire. It could be vans or 7.5t. Does anyone know what DH charge the companies for those type of drivers please?

No idea, but I DO know that my rate is always 10 quid an hour on the (very) odd occasion that I work for em on 7.5t.

DH pay me £8.25ph to drive a van but what do they charge the company for my services on top? Bet its 4 or 5 quid extra.

Whatever it is, you are never going to get anywhere near the same rate as an employed driver. I doubt the agency has a fixed rate, it will depend on the area, competition, clients and of course drivers.

Agency fees are a legitimate business expense, drivers wages are a fixed cost.

I’ve been to a few places where I’ve been paid 2 or 3 quid more per hour than an employed driver

Driver hire on the b and q contract pay the driver 9.50 ph but charge them 17.80 quid ph, drivers mate was paid m8nimum wage and the company was charged 13.50 ph i only know this because i was in the office waiting for something and seen an invoice from the agency

I’m always on at least the same amount as directly employed drivers and usually a couple of quid an hour more. I worked for one client and they discovered I was being paid 31p an hour less than their own drivers and they phoned the agency and told them to put my wages up to their drivers’ level and give me back pay for everything I’d done so far for them.
