What do I need?

Hi guys
I’m thinking of going back to driving possibly recovery work 7.5t
I have gf rights on my licence and I know I need to get a digi tacho card but I’m confused about what I need to do cpc wise and any idea on the cost of it
Thanks in advance

You need to complete 35 hours of driver cpc training - 5 x 7 hours

Cost about £350 is probably a good guess

You can also choose the Initial CPC route if it’s your first CPC

I think that option might be only if going for C - but could be mistaken

Hi, I did 35 hours periodic CPC (as part of ADR, three days of ADR is worth 21 hours towards the 35) and two standalone 7 hour CPC days (first aid and drivers hours I chose).

I had gf C1 7.5t rights. Completed 35 hours periodic and automatically got a Driver CPC card through the post.

GF rights mean you can jump into the CPC week training (which you can’t fail) rather than the module test (which you can fail) and it was 300 notes for the 5 days for me.

Thanks
So all I got to do is book a cpc course
What ones do you think would be best if i want to do recovery work ?

Probably none of the general ones will be much use to be honest in regard to recovery. IVR training modules and possibly RRRA may also contribute to CPC hours, but both would be better funded by an employer rather than off your own back.
