What destination had he put in his Sat Nav?

Can’t imagine where he thought this road would take him, only leads to steep, winding country roads. I suppose its in the general direction of Woodhead but no suitable roads.

De rooy…what the hell do you expect you’ll be lucky if that driver even has a car licence ffs

would something like that not require an ■■■■■■ (not the Russian variety).

No why ?

Don’t look very stuck to me .

just wondered about size and placard in window if classed as oversize.

just a newbee/wanabee asking daft question I suppose. I’ll stay on other forum.

NO mate, stay and ask questions…
It’s not an oversized load that qualifies or needs an ■■■■■■!

Strange , as apart from the Volvo obviously ,the cabs are destined for Leyland which isn’t that far from the M6. Guess he was dropping the Volvo first ,wouldn’t go down well taking a Volvo in to the DAF assembly plant lol

thanks evil8beezle. i should have looked a bit closer as now I can see it looks like a ordinary car transporter type vehicle. seeing it from front/back only couldn’t judge the length of vehicle with my lack of knowledge (and depth perception).

my joke didn’t work either. i thought it was quite funny.

De Rooy do some great combinations and spent plenty of time giving each other lifts.

Means one lorry + driver can be on break

Anti European drivers? Of course the guy has a license and very likely a lot more experience than doing UK ‘long distance’ from Derby to Travis Perkins Dover… :unamused:

You can only assume he has a licence.

One look at where he’s managed to get himself tells me, he ain’t that experienced. :unamused:

It’s the Equalizer driving that one in the pic above… Surely he’s experienced? :stuck_out_tongue:

You say that but we don’t know where he was trying to get to. I’ve looked on Google and I can’t see why he’s stuck on a road with no end of turning areas. Even experienced men sometimes come unstuck

Maybe its just a mechanical failure on hill clutch etc.

I’m anti de rooy. If they where British they would have been closed down a long time ago. One of the worst compaines in Europe with the dodgy antics they get upto.

Have to agree De Rooy should have been banned long ago, as to their competence ask Tufnalls they know all about it after an insecured lorry having a piggy back came off on the M6 last year and went straight into a one of theirs, see them regularly parked up in weighbridges so can’t be to competent

They know very well what they are doing.
Law of averages, load enough lorries over the limit and maybe 1 or 2 get stopped and fined, the fine and hassle will be less then what money the rest made.
That is the way De Rooy does business,
I presume most big players, Stobarts and others work that way as well.

They do seem to do some nice work with the load combinations and piggy-backs’s etc.

Think there was a column in cm magazine a while back saying they were one’s of the top targets and always had breaches when investigated at the roadside, basically if they were British then they would be punished a lot heavier but the dvsa was restricted in what it could do aside from fines etc.

As above though they are a large company so pretty sure the odd pull from the dvsa over here won’t bother them to much.

The UK side. Edcrest, was closed down by the ministry for gross ■■■■ taking
