Those 2 are VR6’s. My brother owns the other, he also has a G60, its a USA import - Since picture was taken a while ago thats why mine looks different.

Used to run a 227k mile Vauxhall astra. Bought dirt cheap, however I have now gone and bought this

Rover 75 Connoisseur. 2.0 diesel (The BMW lump)
Always loved my rovers. I call this one “The barge” cos after driving an astra, this thing feels like a barge

Nothing wrong with Rovers. I have a Rover 75 but mines the 2.5v6 and I only use it at weekends as its my pride and joy

As ive already stated I own a Rover 75 2.5v6.Lovely underrated cars.

Mines rare as it has blue leather interior.
Its a lovely thing to drive and looking at the condition of it you wouldnt think it was 16 years old

my 2nd Laguna
2.0 dci Turbo
2007
Remapped (apparently)
on a run 50+mpg

wheels severely damaged tho so new boots, and wheels from freecycle, refurbished ( £80 all four wheels )

2 years ownership so far, only problems were air con rad replaced and new discs and pads all round

Cheap luxury motoring, compared to a similar years and models

My mum used to own an old Rover ( a car was just a car to her, make and age immaterial) . I had used it a few times. The car I had at the time was rubbish in the snow and I had to do a lot of short runs for work so I used my mums car. The brakes actually worked in the snow!!!

Never again a Laguna lovely car had a 1.8 petrol but cost as much over 12 months than what I bought it for.

FFS When will you all learn that the only decent cars out here are BMW’s ■■ btw my main car is now a VW Passat (sad but will learn to live with it)

Are bmws expensive on maintenance etc, quite fancy the 5 series

For my Beemers I have an indy mechanic in Inverness who does any big stuff and reasonably priced, go to the main stealers and be prepared to drop yer trews !! The 3ltr diesel in the five (cant remember the code if serviced regularly ) is bullet proof, one of the best around IMO. The 530D I keep at Ipswich has sailed through the last 5 mots with no advisories apart from having to change the rear indicator bulbs cos the orange coating was allowing some white light out. And I even had them given me by the tester.

I really do hope thats a joke.

Wow, sounds good, you must take care of it well, something most people can’t do, shame about the tax & fuel consumption :frowning:

V6 and VR4.jpg

i also have a 2.5 V6 estate which was used as a donor car to make the VR4 a bit better (needed the hub carriers for the brembos, preferred the V6 sport interior over the VR4 interior etc)

all 3 cars are leaving very soon though :frowning:

I get just over 40 mpg out of the 530D’s on a run compared to my 2ltr deisel Passat of around 57mpg, but only a derisory 34mpg out of the Lexus and for that car it’s reckoned to be good.
