In my book there are only two makes of car, Volvo’s and others, I’ve had only Volvo’s for the last 40 years, don’t need none of the others.
At the moment I run an 11 plate V70 diesel, 'bout time I updated I think!
Many folk invest their money in a 4 X 4, but my son and I also share for recreational driving, the original and best 4 X 4, a 1970 series 2A Land Rover, rebuilt with a galvanised chassis and a 2.4 VW diesel engine, should last forever!
2008 saab 9-3 sportswagon 150bhp 1.9tid ( may or not be slightly more than that now ). Daily driver and commuter.
2000 Landrover discovery 2 Td5. Off road prepped, lifted, snorkel, HD bumpers etc. Used to be daily driver til I bought the saab in October. Now a dog wagon and play thing.
Wife has a 63 plate fiesta 1.1I try to avoid driving it wherever possible.

The 2.4 6 cylinder engine is out of a VW LT35 truck.
I have the pattern for the adapter plate to mount the Series gearbox to the engine and any more information if you are interested.
There are many engine swaps on Land Rovers, and LR fans always think mine is a V8 conversion when they hear it, and are surprised that a straight 6 could sound so sweet.
Engine rebuilt to as new spec.
Rebuilt engine with adapter plate to mount to Series gearbox.
Adapter plate to fit Series gearbox to a VW engine.
Fitting the rebuilt engine.

I just run around in a 20+ yr old Toyota. It still goes ok so might as well keep it going. I’d post a pic but I’m scared you’ll all laugh [WINKING FACE]
1992 BMW 325i. It’s not long for this earth though. I’d really love an older 911. Specifically a charcoal black 964 Carerra 2, but that’s not going to happen. Father Christmas must have mislaid my letter.
BMW X5 3.0d for the commute to work.
Wife has a 1.5dci new qashqai tekna

I buy and sell a lot,but I like older toys, hence ive had my merc named hitlers revenge for ages, but I just like to trade in stuff I like to drive, hence the rubbish you see in the following pics.i could reasonably afford whatever I like, but I don’t have any interest for newer stuff.im just happy booting the nuts off the older toys.
