Looking at the video no-way was that a 10 to 12, more like a good 8 to 9

A good site for checking the weather prospects is called Passage Weather, click on the required area and it will give a good indication of wind speed and direction and if you scroll down the page you can see the height of the swell to be expected. Been using it for years and never found it to be far out.
The amount of water thrown up, makes it look like one of those Eastern European car washes.

I did venture out on deck for a smoke, where there’s a bus shelter type thing. Even in there the wind was strong enough to blow the head clean off my ■■■.
