1am this morning as I was passing J4 M6 an ES (57 plate blue double decker) was entering the m/way,so I moved over to the middle lane but after 2-3 mins I slowed back down so I could get in BEHIND him as he wasn’t decent enough to back off by 1 or 2 k’s…After a couple more mins he slowed down !!! So I went to past him as I got level to him he had his curtains SHUT all the way round the d/side !!! WTF ?..Anyway I continued to overtake him,but I couldn’t as he put his put down !! Would just like to vent my angor at this total and utter ■■■■ !!! What a t1t !! Shouldn’t be allowed on the roads !

Not at all,just after that a poor bloke was killed on the north bound,just hope it wasn’t a **** like the ES driver’s fault !!

Seriously mate, these things happen EVERY day. I don’t want to patronise you and I don’t know how long you’ve been driving in this business, but trust me, when you’ve been driving the artics (or whatever kind of vehicle) for as long as some of us have (in my case over 25 years - many a lot longer), you get used to the knob ends out there. Indeed, some of us would be lying if we said we’d never behaved like knob ends ourselves at times!
Let it go, because it will most likely happen again next week.

However, if as you say he had his curtains all the way around, and couldn’t see his o/s mirror, then ring Stobbies HQ and tell them. The numbers are on the back of the cab.

or dont get involved at all , all its going to do is stress you out and shorten your life , just let stuff go , stay out of it and if you need to just back off and let them play the stupid games its not worth the stress … not for me anyway …

Well said guys, this job will kill you if you let it get to you. It happens multiple times a day, whether it’s cars or the occasional bad pro-driver. The curtain thing is strange though

Agreed - we need a rant thread!
As professionals you should not even need to vent anger on here, when it does happen you should simply back away from it and be telling yourself what a ■■■ the guy/woman is and that you are better than that!
To be fair if i drove for Stobbies i think i’d have the curtains drawn 
God I’m getting bored of these threads. If I posted a rant about all the knobhead on the road that pees me off everyday I’d jam the forums up!

it was a van and a car, no trucks involved at all so likely no curtains as a contributing factor.
When one of those blokes who appears in that TV show was pulled on here about his curtains being broken because they wouldn’t open far enough to clear his windows he said they were like that for the camera crew. 
Maybe that was the case here.

Away lads he has got a fair point!!, I,ve done a few years myself but I don,t ever remember seeing a driver with his curtains fully drawn on a motorway , it is a bit of a one off, apart from being mega knobheadedness of the highest degree, and it just had to be a Stobart didn,t it after them being made out to be the elite of the haulage world on the TV t&t BS 
, so I reckon his post is justified.

I didn’t give the full SP,the bloke is a total knob ! I have “witness driving” on my i phone,as I was trying what seemed like weeks to pass him I noticed my i phone was by mistake sliped to the left (lol) so I go full video of his curtains,then when I backed off,the phone must of slipped again as I had his ■■■ end,as I said I have had my ticket nearlly 20 years,this bloke was a KNOB !!
FFS,I let him in,he then thought it would be funny to keep me in the middle lane and then continue to act a KNOB !!
Anyway as I say,rant over…NOT going to do the tar and brush thing,but it was proberly a poleaxe from Crick !
