Thanks for that, my uncle Fred Moreton, had “The Crown” and managed the local football team in the 50’s,then went up the road to Amblecote Farm at Newcastle. I remember Huffer on Swains jumping out of his cab one night in a service area in Italy and falling down a man hole the Italians had forgotten to put the cover back on :blush: :blush:
You are right he must have retired by now he’d be in his late 70’s I reckon.

Have a look at the link at the top of the index page,on this Forum,where it says how to post pictures,follow the instructions from there,it is a bit difficult to start. I struggled for a while,but you will get into it.

Don’t see many in the Readymix colours these days,most are Cemex,saw this one between Clyro and Hay on Wye on the B4351.

I wouldn’t mind a quid for every hour that I have spent in that spot Dave, waiting for the tacho to tick round so that I could set off on the 3 1/2 hour trip back home!
