Thats Wilner Evans from Talgarth who runs about four wagons with his son.
He has run Renaults for years, a nice hardworking bloke Steve. I will have to see if he has any photo’s.

Hi Darren,
Can’t help you with that one I’m sorry to say. Welshpool is about 30 miles from here, but if I’m going to North Wales I tend to travel via Shrewsbury and Oswestry area. I expect someone will know.

They had some drags on straw work thank you Trevor

Yes remember them well Trevor with their green wagon & drags with a yellow stripe around the cab. I don’t think they do much hay & straw nowadays. They have a big store of rock salt and concentrate on that. The son runs the business these days I think. There was a big write up in the Hereford Times last year about the Dad and how long he had been trading etc.

Such a shame thats the DAF Varient and not a proper Leyland, but still a lovely old girl.

hi DAVE and TREVOR , corrbetts do have drags 6 wheelers on A frame is the one that comes to us, with 8 wheel truck a3 axle trailer, they will have no problem with axle weight s. with the hay or straw over cab and extended trailor I bet there awkward in small farms , hope your both ok

The DAF CF artic tipper belongs to Loud Vale Haulage from Garstang , Between Lancaster and Preston.
