Dave said a while back you would be seeing lots of straw on the move a big shortage of the stuff in the UK this season might be worth it’s weight in gold.

Hi Harry,
apparently there is still a big shortage and you are quite right,it is fetching good money,also the grain prices are up because of a poor harvest in Russia,so the farmers are doing ok,not that many of them will admit it :laughing: .

Dave a brother in law of mine a bit older and retired from a lifetime of farming has always pleaded poverty, don’t know how he manages to afford to have a new five bedroomed bungalow built and gift his former nine bedroomed house to his grandaughter, and then he has to scrape together enough coppers to buy and run a top of the range Mercedes and maintain several vintage cars, i would hate being so hard-up.

Hi Harry,
Looking at it again.I think its further up than Kington bypass about a mile,it is a sharp bend,but for an artic with a box type body he was pushing on.
