Hi Martyn,
I don’t do an deliveries with my vans.We went down to Caerphilly to take some CB’s for repair, but it was closed as the owner has sadly passed away. We then had a tour around as last friday was a nice day. The only work I do is with my CPC’s,also some volountry work.
Cheers Dave.

Dave,
I use that junction quite a lot, its awful trying to get out on to the 49 on my motorbike never mind a loaded truck, as the traffic comes over the hill so quick. Will be going into Condover on Sunday to fix a friends bike.

Hi Trev,
I travel the A49 quite a lot as you can see from the pics and yes it is a difficult place to come out from, had there been nothing behind me I would have flashed him out, which I do there and at Sharpstone Lane with the Tarmac lorries, also they have a slight incline as you know coming out of the Condover junction.Made a good pic from a different angle.
Cheers Dave

Think he wanted you to lean out the window Dave, and pull his easy sheet over on your way past, he had a hard day and was to tired it do it.
cheers
John.

Hi John,
It was late afternoon,so probably a local drop for that load of sand,he might even just be going up the road to the tarmac quarry,we will give him the benefit of the doubt .
Cheers Dave.

I nearly came down into Port Talbot for a ride by the lake, but changed my mind Martyn, hauled slag out of there in 1969.

I think Andrew Cooper and Sammy Dog will know this one, seen in the Barry area.

right enough when i was there i was driving leyland constructors back in 1985 congratulations on hitting the 200 pages

I wouldn’t fancy doing muckshifting without a weigher with that thing- that big body would excite the paddy machine drivers!

Whats your personal Muckaway, can’t keep calling you that especially with the amount of tipper threads you have started and contribute too.
Cheers Dave.

Nathan. But other Smiths’ drivers have been given details of trucknet, so I guess I’ll get called allsorts!
That Scanny had the traditional muckbody design, but seemed too high, most I see like that stop somewhere near the second ladder rung (gives them around 14 to 15m3 capacity). Bet payload isn’t that great as our 8 wheelers have lightweight steels and they get between 19 to 19.8 tonnes.

Don’t know about Shillibiers Nathan, but Sammy Dog will,he drove for them before running his own fleet of tippers.
Churngold had about ten of those Scania’s up here back inthe early part of this year.I think they only carried about 18.5 ton.
Cheers Dave.
