Here’s one of Roy Morgan’s pics, this Leyland would suit wagon and drag man Harry Gill.

hiya,
Dave would need to do a spot of dieting to get behind the wheel in a LAD shed now but would bust a gut to have a go in this little beauty, these four wheeler and drag outfits was a bit of tussle in the wet especially if the pup was a bit heavy laden great if only carrying capacity loads though, plenty of speed as well and if light laden you had a good chance of stopping in a straight line, happy days.PS, pleased the holidays went well and the weather was for the most part good, nice to see you back Dave.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi Harry,
I didn’t like the LAD cab either, drove a Dodge with one,as like you I found them cramped and not enough leg room etc.I certainly would need to lose weight nowadays to fit into one  .
How was you holiday  hope you had a good time.
Cheers Dave.

Tidy ERF taken by Roy,saw this one at Gaydon myself,a very tidy lorry.

Three of Pearson’s of Coventry seen by Roy Morgan.

British Railways Scammell Scarab, seen by Roy Morgaan.

A nice looking late model Atkinson artic.

hiya,
Holiday went well Dave but just a bit too hot for me, my Old Lady returned with a bout of Tunisian tummy is under doctors orders at the moment but she’s a lot brighter today, and because she works with elderly people unable to go to work, I’m trying to get her to call it a day some of her clients are younger than she is but she says she loves it and will pack in when it suits her, and i have to be kept in the manner to which i’ve become accustomed.
thanks harry long retired.

Hi Dave, welcome back. Glad you had a nice break and the weather was good.

Regards Paul

Hi Steve,
We don’t see Arthur Williams with his 3000 series Foden down this way very often,he comes from up Newtown area,as far as I know he does his own work with just the one lorry.I would think he was down here to collect a load of lime.Great pics.
Cheers Dave.

Hello Dave, nice to have you back mate, cant wait to see the holiday snaps

Hi Marc,
Not to many snaps of the commercials, plenty of sea, boats and other things. Tracy took a few lorries, but she deserved to have a ride around without clutching the camera. I will get her back on track
Cheers Dave.

A mid 50’s Foden taken from a pic of Roy Morgans.

Dave the Renegade:

Saw this Tarmac artic on the A49 in Craven Arms yesterday. I think its one of the South Wales contract hauliers lorries, who are working out of the Gore and Strinds/Dolyhir Quarries near my home. I suspect this one was returning from Bayston Hill Quarry,as I saw a lot of local artics doing the same.

its ian slatters own lorry dose the tarmac quary to qaury work
