Have just cleared customs at Dover gone to port and tried to book on a ferry replys were sorry driver can’t ship that on a ferry with more that 52 passengers ,
Don’t you just love a well planed job will I ever get to Switzerland ?
Will I ever get home again?
So if your on you’re way thro Dover bring supplies
Don’t do Europe (thank God !) but Yesterday I ran from Bristol to Aberdare (around 60 miles & £18.60 toll) to collect a load that turned out to be for ‘Next Tuesday’.
This morning I’ve run all the way back to Milton Keynes (empty 170miles) to collect a load from Tilbrook, Mk to Wolverton, Mk. (Approx 10 miles)
At least they’re laughing about it in the office.
1 out of 10 for poor (cocked up) planning, 10 out of 10 for Nice Easy Work ! Lol
Can’t ship what with 52 passengers?
Is it hazadous, pull you card and get on the midnight boat and you will be on the border tomorrow night.
Tomorrow afternoon even.
Toby probably messed it up because he was out playing with his new toy and didnt have his mind on the job lol

I dunno what that stuff is. But I haul stuff that isn’t allowed on ferries with more than 12 passengers. I’m 1 of the 12 too

If we didn’t tell 'em and if they were to check, we’d be banned from the North Sea. That would rather make a mess of the business.

Are these 11 others passengers told? If it is SO DANGEROUS I certainly should have right to know and to do not be on the same ferry as you?

if you plan on travelling on a non-passenger ship (that is where the maximum of 12 passengers bit comes from), you duly play by their rules. I don’t think they’ll supply you with the cargo manifest on request

If you ask me, on the boat, I’ll tell you.
The majority of accompanied loads on these boats are unsuitable for transporting on normal passenger or large freight ferries for various reasons.
If it was so hazardous you’d want to travel on a different boat to my load, I doubt I’d be hauling it around on public roads anyway.
maps.google.com/maps?q=&num=1&t … 23&iwloc=A this is where it went was to be used for missile fuel for the army
We use to do cyanide out of Billingham and that always use to get a few drivers jumpy on the ferry when you told them what it was
