Went for my,now,annual medical to renew my licence this morning and passed with flying colours.
Still only 30 quid where I go!.
If it is annual do DVLA not pay for it

well done so some good news now the hard part getting your licence back from them as they are behind with issuing them ( father in law has been waiting since March for his to come back )
They only pay for annual medicals if they’re because you’re on a short term licence due to a chronic condition, the standard ones triggered by age you pay for. I’m on annual renewal for free, but when I have to do a full medical through age I’ll have to pay. The current ones are only specific to my disease - and for me, up until now at least, have simply been a matter of DVLA writing to my Consultant rather than an actual examination, although that may change as things progress in future.
