If i have a hookloader with drawbar hitch
Twinsteer dual drive 12.5tonne steering axles 15 tonne drive axles normally can carry a 15 tonner on a plate legally if i attatch an empty 2 axle drag to take my train weight to 44 tonnes could i put a 20 tonner on the plate would be in on my axle loadings but do i have to keep the wagon to 32 tonnes same as usual and the drag as a seperate thing i presume im fine to put a 20 tonner on a try axle drag behind it but would struggle fgrip with an empty wagon
What you’re saying is right, all except the twin axle trailer taking train weight to 44t.
Regardless of the number of axles on the unit, you need a triaxle trailer to run at 44t. With a 2 axle, your train weight would be 41t.
Thanks even at 41 tonnes that should be enough depending on weight of trailer
Do you know why in the uk we cant run 5 axle 40 tonne rigids would make life a lot easier
