A bit of an argument to settle, i returned to work on wednesday 2nd jan after finishing work at 12.30pm saturday 22 dec .I`ve worked wed - fri 05.30 - 17.30 ,then sat 05.30 - 12.30pm .Can i work the next week mon -fri 05.30 - 17.30 then sat 05.30 - 12.30.? Some of our drivers are saying you cant work 2 saturdays with a reduced weekly rest my point is that at the start of last week i had 2 days off ,i thought the week started at 12.00 sunday night until the following sunday 11.59 .59 and you had to take 45 hours on bloc within that period ,if so i have taken 2 breaks of 53 hours and 35 1/2 hours within 1 week ,who is right?

You are right and your friends are wrong 
You had a regular weekly rest period at the start of last week, you also had a reduced weekly rest period on Saturday/Sunday which will not need any compensation to be paid for.
You can legally work next Saturday but must have a regular 45 hour weekly rest period the following week.

There are many who take the wording literally to mean that two reduced weekly rests cannot be done in a row when what it actually means is that two reduced weekly rests cannot be counted for any two consecutive weeks (any two weeks in a row)
