weekly rest compensation

Could somebody please solve a argument, when repaying weekly rest compensation can it only be attached to either a 9 hour daily rest or 45 hours weekly rest, or is it possible to attach it to another reduced weekly rest, ie if u owed 12 hours could you have a reduced weekly rest of 36 hours and pay it back attached to the minuiuim 24 hours cheers in advance

It can be attached to ANY rest period including a reduced weekly rest

This would be legal

week 1 = regular weekly rest
week 2 = reduced weekly rest of 36 hours with 9 to pay back before the end of week 5
week 3 = regular weekly rest
week 4 = 48 hours off which can be 39 hours reduced weekly rest plus 9 paid back leaving a new payback of 6 hours before the end of week 7
week 5 = regular weekly rest

Thank you I though so but everbody telling me it’s got to be attached to a 45hou break so week 1 32 hours , week 2 45, week 3 37 hours ( reduced plus 13 hours paybak) is legal then

Compensation for a reduced weekly rest period can be paid back by adding the compensation en block onto any rest period of at-least 9 hours, so yes you can add it onto a reduced weekly rest period if that what suits you.

The one thing I would say is that by doing that you really need to keep track of what you’re doing because in my opinion it could get very complicated very quickly if you’re not careful.

Also be aware that the compensation has to be paid back by the end of the third week following the week in which the reduced weekly rest period was taken, so if by adding it onto a reduced weekly rest period some of the compensation was paid back after midnight Sunday of the third week it would not comply with the regulations.

week 0 = regular
week 1 = reduced of 32 leaving 13 to payback before the end of week 4
week 2 = regular
week 3 = 37 off which is 24 reduced plus 13 paid back leaving a new 21 to pay back before the end of week 7
week 4 = must be a regular
