sat + sun = regular weekly rest - was that the weekly rest used for the week just ending or the week starting?
I will answer assuming it was for the week ending … and we will call that week 1
Driver now has a reduced weekly rest of 40 hours for week 2
Driver needs to start a regular weekly rest no later than 2359 sun at the end of week 3
Sun 1900 to mon 1900 would reset the 144 hour (6x24 hour) clock before the next weekly rest is needed then assuming the driver is on days then that driver could work tue wed thu fri sat sun

If he needs to work another 5 days he needs at-least 24 hours rest on Sunday/Monday, so he can restart work at 19:00 Monday.
