I was scanning the small adds a few weeks ago, looking for a bit of extra work on the weekends and spotted a job a few miles up the road from me.Went to see the boss and got started yesterday .
Nice and easy driving this little straight job down the road a few miles to pick up the “freight”.
And then a few more miles across county to get “tipped” out at the show grounds.
After a few hours it’s time to reload and retrace our way back home. The brown one looks a bit nackered.
Only two ponies today, but training’s over and next weekend I get one of these, holds up to 15 .Going to be a squeeze down some of the farm roads and plenty of shoveling to clean out at the end of the day.
Had a good laugh so should be lots of fun once the season gets rolling
I am going to try and plant some veg this year in our new garden, that’s if it ever stops snowing ,never tried to grow veg before.

Good idea, might try some on my roses first. I haven’t managed to kill them yet.
Before you plant anything else get yourself a soil testing kit from any garden centre ,cost about $2. Take soil samples from different parts of your garden & then you will know which type of soil you have; Acidic ,alkaline or neutral. Then plant accordingly.
thanks harry, with time on my hands i am sure i will have a lovely garden like the ones on that site. thing is we will be fighting over the sit on lawn mower or might just get a goat instead, but i wouldn’t have a nice garden with a goat and the puppy
oh well see how things go.
take care

Forgot my camera yesterday, but it was much the same routine as last week.Had four full size show jumpers this time, one of which kicked the stuffing out of her stall in the truck. We had to pull over and put the groom in the back,(brave lad) which calmed her down a bit.
Unfortunately she cut her hocks and threw off a shoe,so once at the park the farrier had to be called to refit the shoe and the trainer smeared the cuts with anti biotic cream (just like boxing ) and pronounced her fit to compete.
Apparently some horses don’t like having their shins wrapped (for transport) and others only like facing forward in the truck and yet other horses don’t like being stalled next to certain other horses, they get upset and start a fuss.
Overall it was a good day out.It turns out the riders are involved in some kind of championship with points and prize money, shows how much I know,I thought it was just for fun. Might have to start paying attention.
Yeah, like a friend of mine who lives in St.Tropez. She works in a casino, her job is to congratulate the winners & commiserate with the losers. Some on here might know her on the Swiss run. Her mother runs the Fina at Tunnel St. Marie.
