sites that deal with the two systems of road tax one has to pay for

One of the best posts on here Brit Pete.
This will help loads.
Thanks.
Brit pete - can you tell me if the tax applies for vehicles over 12,000 kg (ie 12,001) or includes 12,000 kg ?
My truck is 12,000 GVW and 18,000 GTW
If I use the unit only (leave the drag at home), do I have to pay?
At 12 ton you have to pay the tax.
LIKE janng has posted you will have to pay, dependingon what type of work you will be doing in GERMANY it may pay for you to get a OBU–UNIT as
when there are problems on the motorway you can leave at the next exit
and use side roads( these diversions are marked with a blue sign with
a U and a number21 this is the route description for the diversion which will take you to the next motorway entrance further on your route) BUT if you have just the ticket option then you will have to stay on the route you gave to the terminal,
Thanks for that - I thought that was the case on the 12T thing, worth checking though!
Rerouting to follow a signed diversion - can’t see myself making the effort to cancel and buy another ticket. That circumstance has just got to be “arguable”, or the “vorsprung durch technik” machines should take this into account when the ticket is purchased.
Do the Germans have an equivalent of the Trucknet Euro Forum, if so, I bet there aren’t many posts on driving in the UK !
There a few sites but they are not as good as this, in the defence of the site that I use the most i will say it is not a commercial site as the laws governing private business are different and stricter here in germany.
i will put a few of the sites later in the forum for sites useful links but
you will have to translate from german to english,
spaceman DO NOT FORGET THAT YOU HAVE A TIME LIMIT with the
MAUT so personely I would rather have a ““OBU”” unit and so have no worrys if stuck in a traffic jam,or the Autobahn being closed due to a serious accident or incident,
