Hi, I passed my class 2 last week and I have an interview and assesment drive with warburtons (newcastle). So if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.
-
What does the interview process involve?
-
What to expect on the assesment drive?
-
If anyone has worked or is currently working for warburtons as a class 2 driver, is it a good company to work for?
Thanks in advance
It’s a good company, except early starts, for the interview I would suggest researching the facts and figures which shows an interest.
The assessment drive would involve your pre-trip walk around check of the vehicle.
Allowing 15 minutes to check the tyres coolant level, engine oil may be electronic on the dash or a dip stick.
Windscreen wash level, wipers, horn, lights and indicators .
O license, brake lights, reversing lights, operating the tail lift.
They will tell you about health and safety and how they want things done.
Delivery to stores can be a pain with cars parked where you need to be.
A demonstration to record manual entries on the tachograph.
If the stores are shut before staff arrive, you may deliver alone.
Good luck, hope you get the job.
Sorry which company? Have never heard of them
