Vote for UK's kindest town

Came across this on the digital adverts at stafford services earlier.

Nominate and rate the town that shows the most kindness to hauliers, and you could be in the running for a range of fun prizes, simply by taking two minutes to vote for the UK’s Kindest Town.
Can’t see the list being that great if honest. Although advert says someone has nominated Telford .
If I had pick I’d probably go for Milton Keynes if that counts as a town.
As roads are wide mostly dual carriageway ways no houses or schools as such so no idiots and traffic on the roads.
Altough can’t say they really show most kindness to trucks as per advert.

I’ve had a go voted for Milton Keynes.
Site just aks your name email place you want to nominate then about 10 questions to rate 1 to 5. From bad to good.
Ease of access to businesses.
Access to petrol filling stations.
Access to food
Access to parking
Weightlimit issues
How courteous other road users are etc.

Dover - headed out to Europe

Bradford.

Ease of access to businesses. Fair enough
Access to petrol filling stations. Where? We are talking taking an artic into a filling station, right?
Access to food Again, where can you park an artic (prefeably more than a few), to get food in Milton Keynes?
Access to parking Where? And if there is parking, why is it not sign posted?
Weightlimit issues Are there any? None?
How courteous other road users are etc.

I can not see how Milton Keynes could possibly be a contender.

I might propose Worcester. Industrial areas just of the main roads/motorway junction. Lorry parking in the town centre (with shops, takeaways and pubs nearby), next to the river, and signposted.

I didn’t know they was going ask questions.
Just thought It was vote for place that’s friendly good for trucks.
Which in my opinion milton Keynes is. One better places to drive around despite the roundabouts.
Once you submit your chosen city it then asks you questions and I answered most as poor and bad.

Simple…ANY town that provides a designated overnight truck park. :bulb:
You’re welcome. :sunglasses:

(Btw…@ o/p sorry for being pedantic, but it’s one of my irrational pet hates and annoyances.
We ain’t as you say ‘‘hauliers’’, we’re drivers :bulb: , the haulier is the guy who owns/runs your truck :bulb: . An annoying mis definition usually used by tv and radio reporters…just saying like.)

(I’ll now get back in my box, only on here cos wife is making me wait for her getting ready :unamused:  )

Upton upon Severn

Oh yeah, I luuurve Upton on Severn. Fantastic place to park

The first rule of Trucknet…

don’t talk about good hidey holes on Trucknet.

(but thanks for the heads up anyway :sunglasses: )

Milton Keynes for me. No weight limits like most places. Warehouses are mostly away from housing Estates.
