vosa

this weeks edition of commercial motor has an article by a legal eagle on how drivers should always be Professional and courteous to vosa officers even if they are being, unhelpful etc. he says being polite too them may help ease the pain if your in for a fine, it also tells you about the new powers vosa have that came in at the end of march, was a very interesting read.

I’ve said it before and I will say it again

The first test any enforcement officer gives you is the “attitude” test

Whether you pass of fail that depends on whether you get a cusery glance over (to keep numbers up  ) or a full turnout if you’ve been stroppy.

They are only human (well most of them) so a laugh and a joke with them goes a long way.

Last time I was stopped I was feeling rough so when he approached I wound the window down and said
“I wouldn’t come to close if I was you…I’ve got the lurgey” :grimacing:

Another time, Vosa man saw my nameplate in the windscreen…and “reported” me to the on site copper because “there was evidence of Semtex in my truck”

Both times sent on my way with nothing said
